The digit at ten's place of two digit number is four times that in the units place. If the digits are reversed , thenew number will be54 less than original number . find:...

First number

Ones: x

Tens: 4x

Number= 10 (4x)+x=40x+x=41x

Reversed number:

Ones: 4x

Tens: x

Number=10 (x)+4x= 10x+4x= 14x

By given data,

14x+54=41x

41x-14x=54

27x=54

x= 54/27

x= 2

Original number= 41x=41×2=82 (Answer)
