The number is 41 as 4 is in the tens place and is four times the digit in the ones place which is 1 and when you reverse the digits you get 14 and when you add 41 and 14 ..you get 55 . Thus 41 is the number.

let the number of the form 10x+y

given that: 4y=x -----1

and; 10x+y + 10y+x=55-----2

therefore in eqn 2

11(x+y)=55

x+y=5

from eqn 1

x+4x=5

x=1, therefore y=4

so the number is 10x+y=40+1=41
