let the ones place no. be x

and tens place no. be 3x

therefore the original no be = 10 × 3x + x = 30x + x

on reversing the no.

the new no. be 10 × x + 3x = 10x + 3x

ATQ

30x + x - (10x + 3x) = 36

31x - 10x - 3x + 36

18x = 36

x = 2

so, the original no. is 10×3×2+2=62
