The digit in a number at tens place is 5 less than twice the digit at units place. The sum of the original number and the number obtained by interchanging the digits is 176. Then find the two digit number.

let the digit at tens place be x and units place be y

so the original number is 10x+y

2y-5=x

2y-x=5 [1]

and also

10x+y+10y+x=176

by solving this we get

x+y=16[2]

by adding 1 and 2 we get

3y =21

so y=7

by puting value of y in 2 we get

x=9

so the number be 9*10+7=97

answer is - 97
