unit digit=x
tens digit=2x
original number=20x+x
if reversed=10x+2x
acc. to ques.
10x+2x=20x+x-18
18=20x-10x+x-2x
18=9x
x=18/9
x=2
original number=2×2×10+2
=40+2
=42 (ans)

Let unit digit=x
tens place = 2x.
Number = 10×2x+x =21x.
so number obtained in reversing the digits =12x.
ATQ) 12X=21X-18
12x-21x= -18
-9x=-18
x=2.
original number = 10×4+2=42[ unit digit =2 ,ten place = 4]
