The digit in the tens place of a
two digit number is three times that
is at the units place. If the digits
are reversed, the new number is 36
less than the original number. Find
the original number.

Answer:

let the ones place no. be x 

and tens place no. be 3x

therefore the original no be = 10×3x+x=30x+x

on reversing the no.

the new no. be 10×x+3x=10x+3x

ATQ

30x+x-(10x+3x)=36

31x-10x-3x+36

18x=36

x=2

so, the original no. is 10×3×2+2=62
