The digit of two digit number differ by 3.if the digit are intetchange and the resulting number is added to the original number we get 143.what is the original number

Answer:

let the number be = 10x+y ,

it is given that x-y = 3 -------------------(1)

A/q,

(10x+y)+(10y+x) = 143

11x+11y = 143

11(x+y) = 143

(x+y) = 13 ----------------------(2)

solving (1) and (2) we get ,

x = 8, y = 5

so, original number is either 85 or 58 .
