47 and 74

Their sum is 121 and their difference is 3(7-4)

X be the 10th place and Y be the ones place

Therefore on adding both the digits and reversing it

10x+y+y+10x= 121

11(X+y)=121

Or x+y = 11

And x-y=3

On solving X=7 and Y=4

Hope it helps

Answer:

74 or 47

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the digits of the number be x, y.

Thus, number = 10x + y

On reversing the digits, new number formed = 10y + x

As given,

( 10x + y ) + ( 10y + x ) = 121

11x + 11y = 121

11 ( x + y ) = 121

x + y = 11 ----- ( 1 )

Also given, if x > y, x - y = 3 ----- ( 2 )

Or, if y > x, y - x = 3 ----- ( 3)

By ( 1 ) + ( 2 ),

2x = 14

x = 7

Therefore, in ( 2 ),

7 - y = 3

y = 4

Now, by ( 1 ) + ( 3 ),

2y = 14

y = 7

Therefore, in ( 3 ),

7 - x = 3

x = 4

Thus, number = 74 or 47
