The digits of a two digit number differ by 3. If the digits are interchanged ,and the resulting number is added to the original number, we get 143.What can be the original number

so number will be : 10x+y

now difference is x-y=3

also if digits are interchanged

so now new number will be 10y+x

so now new number and old number are added

10x+y +10y+x=143. (given)

11x+11y=143

11(x+y)=143

x+y=13

x-y=3. (given)

x=8

therefore y=5

original number 10x+y=10(8)+5=85

u can verify 85+58=143 and 8-5=3
