let unit digit y, tens digit x

then number will be = (10x + y)

according to question,

x-y = 3....................(1) equation

interchanging digit = (10y + x) that is resulting number

now, (10x+y) + (10y+x) = 143

11x + 11y = 143

x + y = 13 ..............(2) equation

from equation (1) and (2)

x = 8, y = 5

so, number will be (10x+y) = 80+5 = 85

because, in the question, it is not mentioned that which digit is greater or smaller so you can take 85 or 58 both numbers for answer.
