let the original no. be 10x+(x+3)=11x+3
so the new no.=10(x+3)+x=10x+30+x=11x+30
it is given that their sum is 143
so,
(11x+3)+(11x+30)=143
22x+33. =143
22x. =143-33
22x. =110
x. =110/22
x=5
so the no. = 10×5+(5+3)
=58
