x - y = 3 ... Equation i

10x + y + 10y + x = 143

11x + 11y = 143

x + y = 13 ... Equation ii

Add both the Equations we have

2x = 16

x = 8

Now, put value of x in Equation i we have

8 - y = 3

y = 5

So, the two digit number is 85
