Base of the triangle b = \textrm{96 cm}

Explanation:

Given that, Side of quadrate is 48 cm

Height of the triangle is 48  cm

Quadrate is akin to the square and its all sides are equal

So its area would be A_q = 48\times 48 cm^{2}

According to question,

area of triangle = area of quadrate

\frac{1}{2}\times base \times height = 48\times 48

Base of the triangle b = \textrm{96 cm}

Answer:

dimension of quadrilateral = 48

i.e x+x+x+x= 48

4x=48

x=12

area of quadrilateral or square = x²

= 12²= 144

now area of triangle is = 1/2×b×h

length of triangle =48 cm

here ar. of quadrilateral = ar. of triangle

144= 1/2×b×48

b= 6
