The dimension of a room are 12.5 m by 9 m by 7 m. there are 2 doors and 3 window in the room. each door measures 2.4 m by 1.5 m and each window 1.4 m by 1.2 m. Find the cost of painting the walls at the ₹ 3.50 per square metre

here's ur answer...

length of the room=12.5m

breadth=9m

height=7m

we have to find it's CSA because we have to find the cost of painting walls.

CSA=2h(l+b)

=2×7(12.5+9)

=14×21.5

=301m²

area of both doors=2(l×b)

=2(2.4×1.5)

=2×3.6

=7.2m²

area of three doors=3(l×b)

=3(1.4×1.2)

=3×1.68

=5.04m²

area of wall without any doors and windows=

301-(7.2+5.04)

=301-12.24

=288.76m²

total cost=288.76×3.5

=₹1010.66
