area to be painted = area of four walls+ top area

= 2 (l+b)×h+ lb

= 2 ( 20m+15m)×12m+ 20m×15m

2 (35m)×12m+ 300m^2

840m^2 +300m^2

1140m^2

TO FIND :-

Area of 4 walls + one top wall = 5walls

FORMULA :-

Area of 5 wall ( SA ) = 2H ( L+B) + LB ( where L = length and B = breadth and H = height )

SOLUTION :-

area \: of \: 5 \: walls \:  = 2 \times 12(20 + 15) \times 20 \times 15 \\  = 1140m ^{2}

ANSWER :-

1140 m square ....
