the dimension of an encyclopedia are 24cm*12cm*6cm.it is so to be covered with a plastic sheet.if each encyclopedia requires 170sq.cm of extra sheet for folding.how much plastic sheet is required to wrap 50 such encyclopedias.

Dimensions of the encyclopedia=24m*12m*6m
Now, the surface area which is to be covered=2(lb)+lh+170cm2
=2(24*12)+24*6*170
=576+144+170
=720+170
=890cm2
So, the plastic sheet required to cover 50 encyclopedia= 50*890
=44500cm2
