We need to find the Dimensional formula for Kinetic Energy ( which is a kind of energy, So the dimensional formula of kinetic energy will be same as that of energy )

We know, Work done is calculated in energy, So work done is energy.

Now,

Work done = Force × Displacement

Now, Dimensional formula of:

Force = MLT^-1

Displacement = L

☛ Work Done = MLT^-1 × L

⇒ Work Done = ML^2T^-1

Hence, Dimensional formula of energy ( Kinetic Energy ) is ML^2T^-2
