Dimensions are

48, 30, 52!

Ratio = 24 : 15 : 26

New dimension =

((15) \div 15 + 24 + 26)(156)) = 36

So! Increase = 36 - 30 = 6!

Your Answer Is:✔️ ✔️

Suppose, all the dimensions of machine is increased x times.

Given that, when dimensions are increased proportionately, the sum of its dimensions become 156 unit.

So, according to the question, we have

:

48x+30x+52x=156

130x=156

x=1.2

The increase in the shortest side=30x-30=30*1.2-30=6

Therefore, the increase in the shortest side would be 6 unit.
