The dimensions of a cubical room are 8.6 m 5.4 mx 4 m. The room has two doors each
measuring 2 m by 1 m and four windows each measuring 1 m by 1 m. What will be the cost of
plastering the four walls and the ceiling at RS 65 per m?

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Surface Area of cuboid = 2(lb +bh + hl).

Length =8.6m

Breadth = 5.4m

Height = 4m

now, the length of two doors. = 2m

the breadth " " " " "" "" = 1m

So, area of 2 doors are = 2 × l × b.

= 2 × 2 × 1.

= 4m^2.

length of four windows = 1m

breadth " " " " = 1m

Area of square = 4 × 4 × side.

= 4 × 4 × 1.

= 16m^2.

total \: area = 4m {}^{2}  + 16 {m}^{2} .

total \: area = 20 {m}^{2}

Now, CSA kf cuboid + area of base rectangle - total area of doors and windows.

=》 2(l + b) + l × b - 20

=》 2(8.6 + 5.4) + 8.6 × 5.4 - 20

=》 2 × 14 + 46.44 - 20.

=》 54.44m^2.

Total cost of plastering= 65.

=》 54.44 × 65

=》 3538.6 rupees.
