Let, l=5x b=2x and h=x
now, lbh=volume
5x*2x*x =1250
10x³ =1250
x³ =125
x=5m
l=5*5=25m
b=5*2=10m
h=5m
surface area : 2(lb+bh+hl)
2(25*10+10*5+25*5)
2(250+50+125)
2(425)=850m²

Answer:

850 \:  {m}^{2}  \\

Step-by-step explanation:

the dimensions of a cuboid are in the ratio 5:2:1.Its volume is 1250 cubic m.To find its total surface area, we have to calculate length, breadth and height of the cuboid

Let the common ratio of each side is k

length=5k

breadth= 2k

height= k

Volume of cuboid= length × breadth × height

1250 = 5k \times 2k \times k \\  \\ 1250 = 10 {k}^{3}  \\  \\ 125 = {k}^{3} \\  \\ {(5)}^{3} = {k}^{3} \\   \\ so \\  \\ k = 3 \\  \\

Length= 25 m

breadth=10 m

height=5 m

Total surface area

 = 2(lb + bh + hl) \\  \\  = 2(25 \times 10 + 10 \times 5 + 5 \times 25) \\  \\  = 2(250 + 50 + 125) \\  \\  = 2 \times 425 \\  \\  = 850 \: {m}^{2}  \\  \\

Hope it helps you.
