The dimensions of a luggage box are 80 cm, 60 cm and 40 cm. How much square cm of cloth is required to cover the box?

Appliances, now up to 45% off.

Given:

Luggage box dimensions: 80 cm, 60 cm, and 40 cm.

Find square cm the amount of cloth to cover box.

Solution:

For this piece of luggage we have three rectangles ( two pieces each).

2 x 80 x 60 = 9600

2 x 60 x 40 = 4800

2 x 80 x 40 = 6400

Total area:

9600 + 4800 + 6400 = 20,800 sq cm

Answer is: 20,800 sq cm

Answer:

20800 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = 80cm

breath = 60 cm

height = 40 cm

Now ,

Total Surface Area

= 2(lb+bh+lh)

= 2(80×60+60×40+40×80)

= 2(4800+2400+3200)

= 2× 10400 = 20800 cm
