area of ABCD = length × breadth

= 60 × 38

= 2280 cm^2....

area of efgh... = length × breadth..........

= (60 + 12) × ( 38 + 12)

= (72) × (50)

= 3600

area of efgh = 3600 - 2280 = 1320cm^2....
