2(l+b)*h
=2(20+15)*8
=2(35)*8
=70*8
=560 sq.m
$10*560
=$5600

Given:

The dimensions of a prayer hall are 20m,15m, and 8m.

To find:

The cost of painting its walls at $10 per m².

Solution:

We know that, Lateral Surface Area of a cuboid (LSA) =  2 h (l + w) sq units, where h = height of the cuboid, w = width of the cuboid, l = length of the cuboid.

To paint the walls of the prayer hall, we need to find out the Lateral Surface area of the prayer hall

$$=2 h(l+w)$=2 \times 8(20+15)$$=16 \times 35$$=560 \mathrm{~m}^{2}$

According to the question, the cost of painting per square meter is $10. So, the cost of painting 560 m² is = 560×10 = $5600.

Therefore, the cost of painting the walls of the prayer hall at $10 per m² is $5600.
