Let the dimensions of the rectangular box be 2x, 3x and 5x, then
TSA= 2(2x×3x+3x×5x+5x×2x)
=62x²
C1= Cost of covering at the rate of Rs 8 per unit= 62x² × 5.5
C2= Cost of covering at the rate of Rs 9.50 per unit= 62x² × 6
It is given that
C2-C1= 496
62x²×6-62x²×5.5=496
62x² (6-5.5)=496
62x²×0.5=496
31x²=496
x²=16
x=4
Hence, dimensions are:-
8m,12m and 20m
This is your required answer

Answer:

8m , 12m , 20 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ratio be 2x, 3x and 4x

B=2x

L=3x

H=4x

T.S.A = 2(lb+bh+hl)

=2(2x×3x+3x×4x+4x×2x)

=2(6x2+12x2+8x2)

=2×26x2

=52x2cm2
