The dimensions of a room are 11.2m by 9m. The floor of the room is to be covered by marble tiles each measuring 24cm by 24cm find the total no. tiles required and the cost of tiling the floor at 106rs per tile

Answer:

Area of room = l * b

                    = 11.2 m * 9 m

                    =100.8 sq m

                   = 100.8*100*100 sq cm

                   = 1008000 sq cm

Area of marble = 24 * 24

                       =576 sq cm

Number of marbles = 1008000/576

                               =1750 tiles

Cost of one tile Rs 105

So cost of flooring = 105 *1750

                              =Rs 1,83,750
