The dimensions of a solid iron cuboid are 4.4mx2.6mx1.0m.it is melted and recast into a hollow cylindrical pipe of 30 cm imner radius and thickness 5cm.find the length of the pipe.

4.4mx2.6mx1.0m=440cm×260cm×100cm

volume of cuboid =volume of hollow cylinder

lbh= π(R^2-r^2) h

440cm×260cm×100cm=22/7 (35^2-30^2)

440cm×260cm×100cm=22/7×(325)×h

h= 440cm×260cm×100cm×7/22×325

h=11200cm

h=112m

hence length of pipe is 112m

Length of the cuboid = 4.4m

Breadth of the cuboid = 2.6 m

Height of the cuboid = 1.0 m

Volume of the cuboid = l×b×h

Volume = 4.4×2.6×1.0

Volume = 11.44 m^3

Volume of the cuboid = Volume of the cylindrical pipe

Inner radius of the cylindrical pipe = 30 cm = 0.3 m

Outer radius of the cylindrical pipe = 35 cm = 0.35 m

Volume of the pipe = π [ R^2 - r^2] × h

11.44 m^3. = 22/7 [ (0.35×0.35) - (0.3×0.3) ] h

11.44 = 22/7 × 0.1035 × h

11.44×7/22×0.1035 = h

112 m is the height .
