The dimensions of an assembly hall are length 10 metre,
width 10 metre and height 6 metre. It has two doors
each of dimension (2 x 1.5) mº and four windows,
each of (2 x 2) m-. Find the cost of distempering four
wall and ceiling at the rate of 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

l= 10 m ; w= 10m ; h= 6 m

LSA of the the assembly hall + roof = {2h(l+b)} +(l*b)

= {2*6m(10m+10m)}+ (10m+10m)

=12m*20m+100m²

=240m²+100m²

=340m²

(NB:-only walls and ceiling are to be painted so let's omit out doors and windows)

area of 2 doors= 2(2*1.5)m²= 6m²

area of 4windows=4(2*2)m²=16m²

area to be distempered= 340m²-(6m²+16m²) =318m²

cost of distempering at rs5/m²= 318m²/5/m² =rs 63.6
