Young's modulus is the ratio of stress (which has units of pressure) to strain (which is dimensionless), and so Young's modulus has units of pressure. Its SI unit is therefore the pascal (Pa or N/m2 or kg. m.

The dimensional formula of ypungs modulus is
stress / strain = M^1L^-1T^-2

atitudeanayap8cs4p: M^1L^2T^-2
Anonymous: we knoe Y = F/A ÷ I/L= FL/ Al = Mgl/pi r^2 l = M^1L^-1T^-2...

atitudeanayap8cs4p: :-) yes
Anonymous: hey mate
atitudeanayap8cs4p: hi
Anonymous: my previous vector answer was also right...
atitudeanayap8cs4p: yes but ML^2T^-2 .. NOT ML^1T^-2 ... SO I'M CONFUSED
Anonymous: thnx
