Given : The dimensions of the shed are 15m × 3m × 4m . The dimensions of the boxes are 50cm × 40cm × 20cm

To find : The maximum number of boxes that can be placed be placed into a storage shed.

solution : The maximum number of boxes = volume of the shed/volume of each box

= (15m × 3m × 4m)/(50cm × 40cm × 20cm)

= (1500 cm × 300 cm × 400 cm )/(50cm × 40cm × 20cm)

= 30 × 7.5 × 20

= 30 × 150

= 4500

Therefore maximum number of boxes = 4500.
