Far away from plane of reflection.

Explanation:

  • Bouncing back of light from a polished or on an unpolished surface is called reflection.
  • Whenever light from a surface hits a surface it bounces back in a direction away from plane of reflection.
  • Though if the surface of reflection is regular light beam reflected from surface are focused and if the surface is irregular the reflected light beam diverges in all direction.
  • A part of beam does not gets reflected and instead it either gets absorbed or transmitted but that does not account for reflection.
  • In sum all reflected rays are always away from plane of reflection.
