As the Line is Passing through the Origin :

The Equation of the Line Will be in the Form of y = mx

where y is Discount and m is the Slope of the Line and x is the Original price

Let us Notice any two points on the line, so that we can find the slope of the line.

At Original Price of 2, the Discount is 1 ⇒ it is Point (2 , 1)

At Original Price of 4, the Discount is 2 ⇒ it is Point (4 , 2)

⇒ Slope = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

⇒ Slope m = (2 - 1)/(4 - 2) = 1/2

⇒ The Equation of the line is 2y = x

Given that Find the Discount on $94 (i.e.) at x = 94

⇒ 2y = 94

⇒ y = 47

⇒ The Discount on Original Price of $94 will be 47
