Given :

  • Displacement of a body = s = 1/2(at²)
  • g = acceleration

To find :

  • Velocity of the body at time t

Solution :

★ Second equation of motion:-

  • s = ut + 1/2(at²)

★ Here:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0
  • acceleration (a) = gravitational acceleration (g)

★ First equation of motion:-

  • v = u + at

→ v = 0 + at

Substituting the value a = g

v = gt

Answer :

  • The velocity at any time is gt

Yes, displacement of a body is given by \Delta h = gt^2 if the body is under free fall.

We know, in such cases,  v = u + gt .

Since initial velocity = 0 m/s,

 v = gt (ans.)

Thus, velocity of any body at any time (t) is (gt) .
