The displacement of a moving object in a given interval of time is zero. Would the distance travelled by the
object also be zero? Justify your answer.

No,it is not necessary .
Suppose,if you are travelling around a circle starting with point A,and when you have completed one round,you have obtained a distance that is the circumference of the circle but you have not obtained any displacement because you are back to the starting point A again.
