hey!!..
_______

Displacement means the shortest distance that has been travelled and it is a vector quantity. Displacement will be zero when the initial and the final position of an object is the same.
Distance means the actual path that has been travelled and it is a scalar quantity.

A body can show zero displacement even if it has travelled some distance and returns back to its initial position. Here distance cannot be zero. Distance will be zero for a body only when the body is at rest or not moving.

For example:- If a man walks along a circular path, then if he completes one round, his displacement will be zero because the man is at same position as start position.
But, his distance travelled will not be zero; it is equal to circumference of the circle

Therefore, displacement and distance travelled don't have to be the same.'

But if a body did not move at all or is said to be in the state of rest then displacement is equal to the distance which is equal to zero.

hope help u!!

displacement of a moving object is the shortest path traveled by then object. if an object moves and Comes back to the initial position then displacement is zero but distance is the total path covered by object so it is not zero.
but if the object is not more than only displacement and distance as zero.

for a moving object distance can never be zero
