Answer:

on differentiation of X= 18t+6t2 , we get 18+6 t , now putting the value of t , we get 18+6×5 = 48 m/s

Answer :

Displacement = x = 18t + 6t².

Differentiating x :

⇒ v = dx/dt

⇒ 18 + 6*2t

⇒ 18 + 12t

Now, Instantaneous velocity at 2 seconds :

⇒ 18 + 12*5

⇒ 18 + 60

⇒ 78 m/s

Hence, Instantaneous velocity at time of 5 seconds = 78 m/s.

Some Additional Information -

  • Distance is the length of the total path travelled by a body.

  • Displacement is the shortest distance between the initial position and the final position of the body.

  • Speed is the Distance travelled per unit time.

  • Velocity is the Displacement per unit time.
