We are given that s = 5t² + 9t.

We know that, 

 \frac{ds}{dt} = v 

Therefore, differentiating both the sides with respect to time we get,

 \frac{ds}{dt} = 10t +9

⇒ v = 10t + 9       ........(1)

Since we have to find velocity at t = 0 

Therefore substituting t = 0 in equation 1 we get,

v = 10(0) + 9

⇒ v = 9 m/s
