Given :

  • Perimeter of the rectangular field is 400m

  • Length of the rectangular field is 26m more than Breadth

To Find :

  • Length of the rectangular field

  • Breadth of the Rectangular field

Solution :

Let the,

  • Breadth as x

  • Length as ( x + 26 )

 	\sf✧Perimeter =\boxed{\sf{2(Length+Breadth)}}

\sf{⟶2(x + 26 + x) = 400m}

\sf{⟶2x + 52 + 2x = 400m}

\sf{⟶4x + 52 = 400m}

\sf{⟶4x = 400 - 52}

\sf{⟶4x = 348}

\sf{⟶x =  \cancel{\dfrac{348}{4} }}

\sf\bold{⟶ x = 87}

∴ The value of x is 87

Hence, The required measurements are,

✰ Breadth of the rectangular field = x = 87m

✰ Length of the rectangular field = (x + 26)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 87 + 26 = 113m

\mathrm{\huge{\underline{\underline{Verification}}}} :-

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

\sf{⟶2(113 + 87)m = 400m}

\sf{⟶(226 + 174)m = 400m}

\sf{⟶400m ⇔400m}

Hence, Verified
