Answer:

perimeter of the rectangular field= 400m

let breadth of the field= x

then length of the field= x+26

perimeter of the rectangular field=

2(length+breadth)

2(x+x+26)=400

2x+26= 200

2x= 174

x = 87

breadth = 87m

length=87+26=113m.

let breadth of rectangular field be' x'

then length of rectangular field x + 26

given that

distance around rectangular field is 400

therefore

perimeter of rectangular field is 400 metre

2 ( l + b) = 400

2 ( x + 26 + x) = 400

2x + 26= 200

2x = 174

x = 87 meter

hense breadth of rectangular field is 87 metre

and length of rectangular field

==

87 + 26 = 113m
