The distance between 2 stations is 300 km.Two motoryclists start simultaneously from these stations and move towards each other.The speed of one of them is 7km/h more than that of other.If the distance between them after 2 hrs of start is 34 km,find the speed of each of them and chwck your solution

Let the motorcyclist be a and b

speed of a = x km/h

Speed of b = (x+7)km/h

After the 2 hours

Distance travelled by A =  2x

Distance travelled by B= 2(x +17)km/h

=2x +34

Now distance between them is 34km  

So,

2x +(2x+34)+34=300

4x +68=300

4x = 232

x = 58

x+17 = 75
