Given :

  • Distance between two towns = 400km
  • Average speed of car to cover this Distance {\sf (v_{av}) = 50\; km/h}

To Find :

  • Time taken by car to cover this Distance (t)

Formula Used :

\bullet\underline{\boxed{\sf Average \: Speed =\dfrac{Total \: Distance}{Total \: Time}}}

Solution :

\implies{\sf t = \dfrac{s}{v_{av}} }

\implies{\sf t = \dfrac{400}{50}}

\implies{\bf t = 8\: h}

In minute -

\implies{\sf t = 8 \times 60}

\implies{\bf t = 480\: min}

Answer :

Time taken by car to cover Distance is 8h or 480 min

Answer:

\large\boxed{\sf{8\;hrs.}}

Explanation:

Given that,

Distance between 2 towns is 400 km.

Also, a car is to be cover the distance at an average speed of 50 km/h.

To find the time taken by it.

We know that,

Distance covered = Avg. Speed × Time taken

Here, we have,

  • Distance = 400 km
  • Avg. Speed = 50 Km/h

Let the time taken is 't' hrs

Therefore, we will get,

=> 400 = 50 × t

=> 50t = 400

=> t = 400/50

=> t = 8

Hence, time taken by car is 8 hours.
