The distance between Delhi and Patna is 1000 km. A
train leaves Delhi for Patna at 5 pm at 150 kmph. An-
other train leaves Patna for Delhi at 6:30 pm at 100
kmph. How far from Delhi will the two trains meet?​

= 150 × 3/2 = 225 km

Remaining distance = (1000 – 225) = 775 km

Required time in meeting = 775/250=31/10 hours

Distance from Delhi to meeting point C

=31/10× 150 = 465 km

Total Distance from Delhi to C = 465 + 225  

= 690 km

Hence the trains will meet at 690 km away from Delhi.
