We use distance formula here

D  =  \sqrt{ {( - 6 - 2)}^{2}  +  {(n - 7)}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ {( - 8)}^{2}  +  {(n - 7)}^{2} }  = 10

 =  \sqrt{64 +  {(n - 7)}^{2} }  = 10

 =  > 8 +  \sqrt{ {(n - 7)}^{2} }  = 10
