Step-by-step explanation:

from house to school

actual distance =1500m

map distance =5cm

scale = actual distance for 1cm

scale =

 \frac{1500}{5}

therefore scale is 1cm =300m

now so 3cm= 900m

so map distance between ravi's house and temple is 3cm

(a) 1cm=300m

distance between Ravi's home and his school is 1,500m.

Represented on the map 5cm

So ,

1,500/5=300

(b) Distance between Ravi's home and temple =900m.

Representation on the map =900/300= 3cm
