The distance between the object and a plane mirror is 4cm. If object moves 1cm away from the mirror then what will be the distance between image and object .

we know,u=v(I e., object distance = image distance)
v1= 4cm
CASE II
u=u1+1cm
= 5 cm
so,v= 5cm
hence, the distance between image and object will be 5+5 cm
= 10cm
