Given: The distance between the opposite corners of a rectangular plot = 30m.
Length of the plot = 24m.
To Find: Breadth of rectangle.
Solution:
The distance between the opposite corners is the diagonal of rectangle.
Length = 24 cm.
So, in this case a right angled triangle is formed.
As we know all the angles of a rectangle are right angles.
The length is base, diagonal is hypotenuse and breadth is height.
(d is diagonal, l is length, b is breadth).
900 = 576 +
b = 18 cm
Hence, the breadth is 18 cm.
