therefore, eqn( 2) ÷ 2

then eqn (2) becomes :-3x+4y+11/2 =0

now, distance = |c1-c2|÷√A^2+B^2

c1=3

C2=11/2

A=3

B=4

therefore, d= |3-11/2|÷√3^2+4^2

=|(6-11)÷2| ÷ √9+16

=5/2÷5

=1/2
