 Given \: two \: points \: P(1,4) \:and \:Q(4,0)

 Compare \: these \: points \: with \: (x_{1},y_{1}),

 and \: (x_{2},y_{2}),we \:get

 x_{1} = 1 , y_{1} = 4 ,x_{2} = 4 \:and \:y_{2}= 0

 \underline {\pink{ Using \: Distance \: Formula: }}

 \boxed {\blue{ PQ = \sqrt{ (x_{2} - x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2}-y_{1})^{2}}} }

 = \sqrt{ ( 4-1)^{2} + ( 0 - 4 )^{2} }

 = \sqrt{ 3^{2} + 4^{2} }

 = \sqrt{ 9 + 16 }

 = \sqrt{ 25}

 = \sqrt{5\times 5 }

 = 5

Therefore.,

 \red{ Distance\: between \: the \:points \:P}

 \red{ and\:Q } \green { = 5 }
