Answer :

Here you use the Pythagoras theorem solution for a right triangle

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf (Adjacent)² + (Opposite)²

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf ( x_1 - x_2)² + (y_1 - y_2)²

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf (5 - 0)² + (0 - 12 )²

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf (5)² + ( - 12)²

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf 25 + 144

  • (Hypotenuse)² =  \sf 169

  • Hypotenuse =  \sf \sqrt{169}

  • Hypotenuse =  \sf 13

Hence Distance between the two points is 13 Units

It is good practice to state the units of measurement. However none are given. So if you wish to declare something just use the word 'units'.

I hope it helps you ❤️✔️
