Given:

  • Distance between the position of an object placed infront of mirror & it's image = 15 cm

To find:

  • Distance between object and the mirror

Solution:

As we know that

Distance b/w the image & mirror = 2V

Where

  • V is velocity or the distance . As per the question it is the distance = ?

Now , substituting the value of v

→ 15 = 2(v)

→ v = 15/2

Distance b/w the image & the mirror = 7.5cm

Hence , distance between the image and the mirror = 7.5cm

Knowledge enhancer

μ = c/v or v1/v2

μ = Real depth / Apparent depth

Light enters medium a, crosses medium b and then leaves from medium c, then ^aμ_c = ^aμ_b x ^bμ_c

Here , ^ indicates power & _ indicates base

Given:-

The distance between the position of an object placed in front of the mirror and its image in the mirror is 15cm.

To find:-

Find the distance of the object from the mirror.

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:-

☢️ FOR FINDING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN

♻️ OBJECT AND IMAGE IN THIS FORMULA

Formula = 2 v

V stands for velocity , distance

( Will be based on given condition )

♻️ Hence, putting the value of the formula

♻️ 2 v

➡️ 2* 15 cm

➡️ 30 cm

♻️ Hence, the answer is 30 cm
