Hey Pretty Stranger!

• Distance between sun and Earth = 1.496 × 10¹¹ m

• Distance between moon and Earth = 3.84 × 10⁸ m

In solar eclipse the arrangement of sun, moon & earth is kinda like :

★ S(SUN)-------- ------- ------ -------- ------ --- M (MOON )- - --- --- - E(EARTH)

Therefore the distance between moon and sun in solar eclipse = (SE - ME) = (1.496 × 10¹¹ ) - (3.84 × 10⁸)

→ (1.496 × 10¹¹) - (0.00384× 10¹¹)

→ 10¹¹( 1.496 - 0.00384)

→ 1.49216× 10¹¹ m

\therefore The distance between sun and moon during solar eclipse is 1.49216 × 10¹¹ m or 1, 49, 21, 60 ,00 ,000 m

Answer:

Given that the distance between sun and earth

=1.496 *10^11m

and distance between the moon and earth

=3.48* 10^8 m

there fore distance between sun and moon

=1.496 *10^11-3.48* 10^8

=  10^8(1.496*10^3 -3.48)

= 10^8(1496-3.48)

=10^8*149252
